Privacy notice.
How we collect, use and protect the information you share through this website.
Last updated: 23 October 2026
Who we are
This website is operated by MOMAR Energy Trading Company Ltd. (RC 943927), 8 Danube Close, Maitama, Abuja, Nigeria. We are the data controller for the personal information you submit through it. You can contact us about privacy at info@momarenergy.com.
What we collect
We only collect what you choose to send us through our two forms:
- Enquiries and requests for quotation: your name and email address, and optionally your organisation and telephone number, the type of enquiry you select and your message.
- Supplier registration: your company name, the contact person’s name and email address, optionally your RC number, telephone number and website, the categories you supply and your description of them.
Fields marked optional can be left blank. Please do not send sensitive personal information (for example health, religious or financial details) through the forms.
This website does not use cookies, analytics or advertising trackers (see our cookie policy). Our hosting provider (Netlify) processes standard technical information such as IP address and browser type to deliver the website and keep it secure.
Why we use it, and our lawful basis
We use your details only to respond to your enquiry or quotation request, to assess and contact you as a potential supplier, and to keep a record of that correspondence. Under the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023, we rely on the steps you ask us to take before entering into a contract, and on our legitimate interest in answering business enquiries and managing our supply chain. We do not use your details for marketing, and we do not sell them.
Who receives it
Form submissions are delivered to our team by email through our website host’s form service, Netlify, Inc., which processes them on our behalf. Netlify is based in the United States, so your submission may be stored or processed outside Nigeria; we rely on Netlify’s contractual data protection commitments for this transfer. If you choose to send your enquiry from your own email application instead, it reaches us through our email provider. We share information only with service providers who help us receive and store it, or where the law requires it.
How long we keep it
We delete form submissions from the hosting service once they have reached our inbox, and keep enquiry and supplier correspondence only for as long as we need it to respond, to manage any resulting business relationship and to meet our legal record-keeping obligations.
How we protect it
The website is served only over an encrypted connection (HTTPS), and access to submissions is limited to the staff who need it.
Your rights
Under the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 you can ask to access, correct or delete your personal information, object to or restrict how we use it, and receive a copy of it. To make a request, email info@momarenergy.com. We will respond within the time the law requires.
If you are unhappy with how we handle your information, you can complain to the Nigeria Data Protection Commission (NDPC).
